At a scale of 1:25,000 the Explorer Active range covers all of Great Britain, yet provides enough detail for cycling, hiking, walking, horse riding and other outdoor pursuits. Just like the Ordnance Survey Explorer range, each map includes details of hostels, pubs, rights of way, fences, and other countryside features and visitor information. Explorer Active map is laminated with a thin transparent PVC film, which hardly increases the map's bulk, but makes it much more resistant to intensive use, and helps it withstand an occasional bit of exposure to the elements.
